RHAGIONIDAE Blood Sucking Snipe Fly Inclusion BALTIC AMBER 1943

Baltic amber stone with fossil insect - rare perfectly preserved probably blood sucking "flying" snipe fly Rhagionidae with long proboscis.

It weighs 3.4 grams. Measurements of stone 37x20x8mm, length of insect body and head ~ 3.5mm.
